Use Unimon Energy to Evolve

General Overview

When Unimon are minted they start out in a very fragile state; they are level 1 attack and level 1 defense. They can battle, but they likely won't last long. To fix this, Unimon Energy can be applied to evolve them.

Evolutions take place by speaking with Prof. Adams in the Laboratory. When talking to him, you can select the amount of Energy, between 1-10, you'd like to apply to your active Unimon. After the evolution occurs, your Unimon's artwork will change to reflect an evolution has taken place.

Keys to Successful Evolution

While evolving your Unimon makes it more powerful, there are a few key aspects to note:

  • The more energy you apply during an evolution, the higher attack and defense level it has the chance of becoming, but it is still a probabilistic outcome (see below).

  • The higher level your Unimon is, the more energy it will require for revives. See details in The War section.

  • Unimon can only evolve one time. After your have evolved, that Unimon cannot have any more Energy tokens applied or taken away.

  • Evolutions CANNOT occur after The War starts. If you do not evolve in time, any unevolved Unimon will remain level 1 attack and defense.

Evolution Probability Distribution

When evolving a Unimon, energy is consumed to randomly distribute stat bonuses between attack and defense.

Key Details:

  • Total Stats Range: Random between input energy and 2x input energy

  • Maximum Cap: Total stat boost capped at 18 (on top of existing 2)

  • Random Distribution: Attack and defense bonuses randomly allocated from total stats pool

  • Individual Limits: Attack and defense capped at 10

Example

If someone applies 6 Unimon Energy to an unevolved Unimon:

  1. Total Skill Boost between 6-12

  2. Randomization Selects Total Boost of 7

  3. Randomization Applies 3 to attack, 4 to defense

  4. Final stats: 4 attack, 5 defense
